Carapace and thoracic legs covered with coarse granules. Frontal spine shorter than eyestalks. Frontal external angle very inconspicuous, not nearly a fourth as long as frontal spine. Eyestalks fixed, directed obliquely outwards. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: west of Jogashima, Sagami Bay, Japan, 85 m.
