Epigodromia areolata

(Ihle, 1913)

Carapace slightly wider than long, convex, areolate; antero-lateral borders with two granulated lobes; branchial and cervical grooves distinct. Rostrum tridentate, lateral teeth broadly triangular, slightly longer than deflexed median tooth. Cheliped without an epipod. Cheliped palm especially elongate in males, outer face granulated as are bases of fingers. Inner margins of dactyli of second and third pereiopods armed with 7-8 small spines. Telson of abdomen much wider than long, its posterior margin rounded. (Türkay 1995)
