Cryptodromia fallax

(Lamarck, 1818)

Carapace significantly wider than long, its surface canaliculated; antero-lateral borders armed with two teeth; frontal, branchial and cardiac grooves well marked. Rostrum tridentate, median tooth on a lower level, projecting further forward than lateral ones, which are blunter. No epipod on cheliped. Palm of cheliped smooth, only a proximal tubercle at carpal articulation and another one at the base of dactyl. Distal margins of carpi and propodi of second and third pereiopods bluntly lobed.
