Carapace dorsally smooth or with some tubercles, no spines; Rostrum composed of two only weakly developed short blunt lobes. Interantennular septum without a spine; Basal antennal article not fused anteriorly to carapace; green (antennal) gland immediately at its proximal junction. Cheliped carpus with one large spine on inner margin, otherwise with a few tubercles. Male abdomen triangular, with segment 3-5 fused. (Türkay 1995)
