Genus Parilia

Wood-Mason, 1891

Carapace circular. Dorsal surface finely or coarsely granular, or tuberculated; hepatic regions inflated. Buccal cavern transversely broad, owing to the enormous width of afferent branchial channels and of the exopodites. Third maxillipeds: exopodite extremely broad, foliaceous, with the outer and anterior borders forming a continuous semicircular curve. (Guinot 1998)
