Genus Latreillia

Roux, 1830

Carapace subpyriform, its anterior portion forming a long neck. Flagellum of antenna short. Chelae of mature males slender, not as broad as carapace neck. Last pair of ambulatory legs not chelate, dactylus very short and straight; propodus clearly more than half length of carpus and bearing conspicuous, feather-like rows of long hairs along either side. Fourth to sixth segments of female abdomen fused together. (Türkay 1995)

Type species: Latreillia elegans Roux, 1830, by monotypy.
