Cryptodromia tumida tumida

Stimpson, 1858

Carapace smooth, significantly wider than long, antero-lateral borders armed with three equal teeth, lateral cardiac grooves not marked. Rostrum bluntly tridentate, lateral teeth more prominent than median one. No epipod on cheliped. Outer face of cheliped palm marked with some lines of small granules. Distal margins of carpi and propodi of second and third pereiopods lobed. Abdominal segments without distinct tubercles, posterior margin of male abdomen telson concave. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - Amami-Oshima (Stimpson, 1858d, 1907), Sagami Bay (Parisi, 1915a, Balss, 1922b, Sakai, 1965b), Kagoshima, Tanegashima (Urita, 1926a), off Wakayama and coast of Miyazaki Prefecture (Sakai, 1936c), Kii Minabe, Ashizuri-misaki and Yoron-jima (Sakai, 1976a), Amakusa (Yamaguchi et al., 1976), Mimase, Tosa Bay (Muraoka, 1998); Korea - Cheju-do (Kim, 1973); Palau (Takeda, 1973d, Takeda & Hayashi, 1973); Indonesia - Sumba, Siau Island, Karakelong Island, Salomakei Island, Sula Besi, Salayar, Lucipara Island, Nusa Laut Island, Kur, Roma, south of Timor and Roti (Ihle, 1913); Australia - Abrolhos Islands.
