Suborbital ridge in males with 15-22 rounded protuberances weakly striated vertically, and 2-8 innermost confluent ones; in females with 24-29 granules. Ambulatory legs 1-2 carpi and propodi with thick setae on anterior surfaces; ambulatory legs 3-4 without setal tufts. Pleopod 1 in males with a triangular palp; genital pore widely opened along distal margin. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Taipei, Taiwan.
Range: Japan - Ishigaki-jima (Miyake, 1983), Okukubi River, Okinawa (Shokita et al., 1998), Ginowan, Okinawa (Shokita et al., 2000); Taiwan - Taipei (Rathbun, 1931, Sakai K. & Yatsuzuka, 1980), Rokko, Tan-shui and Kaohsiung (Sakai, 1939, 1976), Lu-kang, Matou, Tan-shui, Kaohsiung, and I-lan (Lin, 1949).
