Carapace hairy, the lateral borders markedly convergent posteriorly. The merus of ambulatory legs armed with some spinules at the distal end of the posterior border. Upper border of movable finger smooth, with a sharp longitudinal keel. (T. Sakai, 1976)
Type locality: Kikaishima, Japan.
Range: Japan - Amami-Oshima and Kikaishima (Stimpson, 1858b, 1907).
