Carapace broader than long. Rostrum deeply bifid at tip. Ambulatory legs cristate along the anterior border. Carapace mostly smooth and minutely pitted. Carpus and propodus of chelipeds also smooth but are marked with a few tubercles. (T. Sakai, 1976)
Type locality: Sri Lanka.
Range: Zanzibar (Lenz, 1905); Sri Lanka (Alcock, 1895a); Japan - Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b, 1976), Mimase, Tosa Bay (Muraoka, 1998); Philippines - north of Lubang Island (Serène & Vadon, 1981).
