Calmania prima

Dorsal surface of carapace is somewhat pitted. Frontal lobes entire and extremely produced beyond the position of the eyes. Antero-lateral borders sharply crested and indistinctly marked with three angles. A bundle of long hairs on each protogastric and epibranchial region. (Sakai, 1939)

Type locality: Sri Lanka.
Range: Sri Lanka (Laurie, 1906); Japan - Mihonoseki, Shimane Pref. (Yokoya, 1933), Shimoda (Sakai, 1935), Hatsushima, Simoda and Ise Bay (Sakai, 1935), between Ito and Hatsushima, Shimoda, Ise Bay and Nagasaki (Sakai, 1939), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Sagami Bay, Izu Peninsula, Ise Bay, Tosa Bay, and Nagasaki (Sakai, 1976a), Amakusa (Yamaguchi et al., 1976); Australia - Moreton Bay (Campbell & Stephenson, 1970); 30-85 m.
