Pilodius paumotensis

Regions of carapace nearly indistinct, dorsal surface shagreened, with short pubescence interspaced with long setae. 2M entire. 1P uniformly granulate; two parallel transverse rows of adjoining pearliform granules on 2P, anterior row medially disjunct. Submedian frontal lobes arched, minutely denticulate, separated by 'U'-shaped emargination; lateral lobes triangular, denticulate. Antero-lateral quadridentate, two median teeth largest. Anterior margin of cheliped merus proximally tuberculate. External surface of cheliped carpus with furrow parallel with palmer joint. External surface of chela with short pubescence interspaced with long setae, tuberculate. Pereiopods setose, merus, carpus with conical tubercles on superior margin. (Clark & Galil, 1993)
