Platypodia tomentosa

Some of the areolae of the carapace are ornamented with a bundle of long hair. In the areolae of the dorsal surface of the carapace, 1F and 2F are conjugated, 1M is convex, and these are also covered thickly with granules.
There is a large, characterized tooth near the base of the immovable finger, the free edge of which is separated into three small teeth. (Sakai, 1983)

Type locality: Ambon.
Range: Japan - Wagu and Kumano-nada (Sakai, 1983); Indonesia - Ambon (de Man, 1887d, 1902).
