Zozymodes pumilus

(Jacquinot, 1852)

The carapace is distinctly divided into regions which are not convex, but are thickly covered with minute granules of uniform size; the interregional furrows are narrow and devoid of granules. The antero-lateral border is armed with four bluntly crested teeth; the first two are subtruncated, whereas the following two are sharp, each bearing its tip anteriorly. The chelipeds are unequal and provided with granules like the carapace; the palm is crested on its upper border in two rows. The ambulatory legs are bicarinate on the upper borders and surfaces of the carpus and propodus each with a longitudinal cavity. (Takeda & Miyake, 1968a: 1)
