Forestia depressa

(White, 1847)

The dorsal surface of carapace is very flat and the granules are mostly worn out, but the surface near the fronto-orbital border is extremely vaulted down and covered with coarse granules.
The frontal lobes are much produced near the median notch, the free margin being beaded with granules. The antero-lateral borders are shorter than the postero-lateral, the former markedly arcuate and obscurely 4-lobed, the posterior two lobes being tooth-tipped; the latter more or less convex and are only finely granulated. The posterior border bears a characteristic median V-shaped invagination. Chelipeds are extremely unequal, and are covered with coarse granules and short yellowish hairs. (T. Sakai, 1939: 483)
