Neoliomera pubescens

(H. Milne Edwards, 1834)

The antero-lateral margin of the carapace is emarginated, if not it never has more than three feeble lobes; the regions are poorly defined; the irregular ornamentation of the dorsal surface of the carapace is limited to certain parts. The breadth of the carapace is more than 1.70 times the length. The frontal and antero-lateral margins of the carapace are neither flattened nor emarginated. The antero-lateral margins of the carapace have two feebly rounded lobes; the granules investing the lateral parts of the dorsal surface of the carapace are comparatively more compacted and smaller. The antero-lateral margins of the carapace have two lobes that are not separated but indicated by two long transverse furrows on the branchial region; furrows limiting regions 2M and 3M are indicated. The chelipeds of the male have the dactylus length less than the width of the palm; the black colouration of the fixed finger does not extend backwards onto the palm. (Serène, 1984)
