Antennal flagellum excluded from orbital hiatus; posterior border of cephalothorax curved, forming curved postero-lateral junction; 6 antero-lateral teeth, first antero-lateral tooth truncate; median and submedian frontal teeth relatively stout; transverse granular ridges on carapace well developed, no distinct cardiac ridges; fine diffuse granular patches on carapace; branchial regions at most faintly swollen; anterior border of arm of cheliped with 3 or more spines; 4 spines on hand of cheliped; hand of cheliped not swollen, under surface either smooth or with a hint of squamiform markings.
