Trachycarcinus sagamiensis

Rathbun, 1932

Surface of carapace with scattered short hairs, strongly areolated, each areola covered with studded tubercles; lateral borders armed with broad teeth with granulated edges; rostral lobes broadly rounded, their tips simple, middle lobe slightly overreaching lateral ones. Chelipeds in male very strongly heterochelous, larger one much more more robust, and very much longer than subsequent ambulatory legs, upper face of large palm smooth and glabrous, that of carpus slightly granulate. Second to fifth pereiopods with scattered spinules on all joints. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Sagami Bay, Japan.
Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Rathbun, 1932), Sagami Bay and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1965b, 1976).
