Schizophroida hilensis

Three spinules arranged in a triangle on the gastric region; adults with eight spines on the cheliped carpus. (Davie 1996)

Type locality: Hilo, Hawaii, Hawaiian Islands.
Range: Japan - Shimoda (Sakai, 1935), Manazuru, between Ito and Hatsushima and Simoda (Sakai, 1938a), Sagami Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Sagami Bay, Izu Peninsula, Kii Nagashima and Kii Minabe (Sakai, 1976a); Taiwan; New Caledonia (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); Lord Howe Island (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); Kermadec Islands (Chilton, 1911, Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); Hawaiian Islands - Hilo and west coast of Maui (Rathbun, 1906), Hilo and Waikiki (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); 3-100 m.
