Cyrtomaia horrida

Carapace surface densely and coarsely granular; protogastric spines of extreme length, greatly overreaching all other spines and generally produced forward or obliquely forward beyond margin of carapace; posterior mesogastric spine with a flanking spine or tubercle; supraorbital eave unarmed; rostral spines about of same length as interantennular one; pterygostomial region smooth and flat and the ridge on the lateral margin consists of two or three irregular rows of spines and tubercles. Antennal peduncle cylindrical, basal joint with three strong spines. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Apo Island, between Negros and Siquijor, Philippines, 9°08'15"N, 123°23'20"E, "Albatross" stn 5538, 260 m.
