Surface of the carapace granulate and with some spiniform tubercles, supraocular region with a spine; antero-lateral border with a number of spines getting blunt posteriorly; interantennular spine bluntly rounded, about two times as long as rounded rostral lobes, these last ones particularly short. Basal antennal article with two spinules. Cheliped of male with particularly swollen chela, with rows of spines along the margins and a longitudinal row on inner face. Second pereiopod with propodus and dactylus bearing the usual long spines; propodi of all following ambulatory legs extremely flattened; meri of third pereiopods with two rows of spinules along upper border, propodi spinulous; fourth pereiopod with merus granulate on upper border, the same applies to carpus and propodus; fifth pereiopods unarmed.
