Carapace subcircular, rhomboidal, surface convex; gastric region deeply depressed, with one pair of spinules; posterior longitudinal ridge with two spines. Manus of cheliped thinly crested on its outer border. Male G1 with two distal branches equal in length. (Davie, 2002)

Type locality: South China Sea, 19°30'N, 112°30'E, 174 m.
Range: Japan - Tsushima (Takeda, 1973c), Shiono-misaki (Takeda, 1979a); East China Sea (Takeda & Miyake, 1972c); 100-174 m.
