Ethusina challengeri

Carapace about as broad as long, cervical and branchio-cardiac grooves very indistinct; exorbital teeth very short; lateral borders nearly straight; inner frontal lobes broadly rounded, their distal border falling shorter than the tips of the spiniform outer frontal teeth. Female chelipeds subequal and slender, joints smooth. Second and third pereiopods slender, dactylus slightly curved and longer than propodus. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: off Boso Peninsula, Japan, 34°37'N, 140°32'E, "Challenger" stn 237, 3419 m.
Range: Japan - Izu-shoto (Miers, 1886); 3419 m.
