Monotypic genus, genus definition repeated:
Carapace broadly oval, length/breadth ratio 6:5, surface spined and tuberculated; fronto-orbital border slightly about half the greatest width of carapace; seven fronto-orbital spines. Eye peduncle three segmented, folding longitudinally. Dorsal border of cheliped palm with two large teeth. Posterior margin of propodus of fourth pereiopod without spines. Fifth pereiopod, compared to the preceeding ones, not reduced in size. (Türkay 1995)
