Carapace longer than broad, trapezoidal; rostrum distinctly bifid at tip; shoulder spine very short, triangular, directed obliquely outwards. Chelipeds robust, merus and carpus with a number of spines. Second to fourth pereiopods robust, meri with similarly shaped and sized spines at their anterior and posterior borders. (Türkay 1995)
