Carapace relatively short, urn shaped, anteriorly broadened; rostrum simple, tip very slightly bifid; shoulder spine long, directed obliquely outwards. Chelipeds robust, merus, carpus, and propodus with spinules on inner and outer margins and also on the upper surface. Second to fourth pereiopods very thin and long; meri with sharp spines at their posterior margins, anterior margins without spines. (Türkay 1995)
