Carapace and thoracic legs not coarsely granular, smooth to the naked eye. Frontal spine shorter than the eyestalks. Frontal external angle inconspicuous, not nearly half as long as frontal spine. Eyestalks fixed, directed obliquely outwards. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Andaman Sea.
Range: Andaman Sea; Japan - Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1976a).
