Carapace strongly convex, covered with thick, minutely vesicular granules, wider than long, surface granulate and areolate; antero-lateral borders armed with two large lacinated teeth. Rostrum tridentate, lateral teeth triangular, much longer than median tooth. Palm of chelipeds long and robust, not bulged, with convex outer and flattened inner surfaces. Second and third pereiopods rough with minute granules; distal ends of upper surfaces of meri, carpi and propodi nodular. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Wanto-ne, coral fishing ground between Chichi-jima and Haha-jima, Ogasawara-shoto, Japan; 200 m.
