Cryptodromia tuberculata

Carapace significantly wider than long, antero-lateral borders armed with three unequal antero-lateral teeth. Rostrum bluntly tridentate, median rostral tooth more prominent than lateral teeth. No epipod on cheliped. Chelipeds strongly tuberculated, palm with 20-25 tubercles of variable size. Margins of carpi and propodi of second and third pereiopods sharply verrucose. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Kikaishima, Amami-shoto, Japan.
Range: Andaman Islands - (Alcock, 1900a), Port Blair, off Little Andaman, and Great Cocos Island (Alcock, 1901); Japan - Kikaishima and Kagoshima Bay (Stimpson, 1858d, 1907), Nanki Shirahama (Sakai, 1936c), Tsuyazaki (Miyake et al., 1962), Kii Nagashima, Kii Minabe, Seto, Kagoshima and Yoron-jima, Amami-shoto (Sakai, 1976a), Tobishima, Yamagata Prefecture (Suzuki S., 1979), Sagami Bay (Muraoka, 1998); Indonesia - Ambon (de Man, 1888d), near Kangean, Lombok, Bima, Savu, Solor Island, Pajunga Island, Sula Besi, Ambon and Banda (Ihle, 1913).
