Paradromia japonica

(Henderson, 1888)

Carapace as long as broad, its surface sparsely granular; antero-lateral borders armed with three tubercles. Lateral rostral teeth bluntly rounded; suborbital tooth compressed and oriented obliquely. Carpus and palm of chelipeds clearly tuberculated. The same applies to carpus and propodus of second and third pereiopods. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - Yokohama (Henderson, 1888), Tokyo Bay (Ortmann, 1892), Mutsu Bay (Yokoya, 1928), Shimoda (Sakai, 1935a), Tateyama Bay, Nagasaki and Iwate Prefecture (Sakai, 1936), Amakusa and Sea of Ariake (Miyake et al., 1962), Tsushima Strait (Takeda, 1973c), Iwate Prefecture, Tateyama Bay, Yokosuka, near Misaki, and Kii Minabe (Sakai, 1976a), Amakusa (Yamaguchi et al., 1976), Yokosuka (Muraoka, 1998); Korea - Zenra-nando and Keiki-do (Kamita, 1941b), Cheju-do, Janggun-do, Impo, Pusan, and Mugho (Kim, 1973); East China Sea (Takeda & Miyake, 1970a); China - Fujian (Dai & Yang, 1991); Indonesia - Flores and west of Salawati; Australia - Cape Jaubert (Rathbun, 1924c); 30-50 m.
