Carapace regularly pentagonal, with the posterior border slightly overlapping the abdomen but not distinctly produced. Lateral clypeiform expansions present, moderately produced, leaving visible the ambulatory legs, and prolonged posteriorly far beyond the base of abdomen. Pterygostomial and subhepatic regions traversed by a granular ridge. (Guinot 1998)
