Genus Menaethiops

Alcock, 1895

Antero-lateral angle produced, often as a large spine visible dorsally. Rostrum bifid, with the two spines in contact throughout their whole length or bifurcate for half of its length and with horns widely divergent. Supraorbital eave armed with a spine at its anterior and posterior ends. Postorbital spine lacking. Antennae visible at sides of rostrum in dorsal view; basal article broad. Male and female abdomens with all segments distinct. (Guinot 1998)
