P4 and P5 reduced and dorsal, with a special terminal apparatus (Homolodromiidae, Dromiidae), or only P5 reduced and intercalated between the body and P4 (Dynomenidae). In both sexes uropods present, represented either by large plates (most Dromiidae, Dynomenidae), may be dorsal (dorsal uropods), sometimes intercalated laterally, more rarely ventrally, or only by ventral lobes (Homolodromiidae), exceptionally absent (genus Ascidiophilus).
