Manella spinipes

Carapace well areolate, regions with distinct granules; antero-lateral teeth regularly spaced, postero-lateral ones also very regularly spaced, decreasing in size from fore to aft; teeth on posterior border acute and similarly sized; frontal teeth acute, median ones overreaching lateral ones. Chelae hairy at inner face of palm, upper border with two longitudinal rows of teeth. Second to fifth pereiopods with anterior borders of meri strongly serrate. (Türkay 1995)

Type locality: Ambon, Indonesia.
Range: Japan - Shimoda and Wakayama (Sakai, 1939), Sagami Bay, Kii Sakaihama and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1965b), Sagami Bay, Izu Peninsula, Kii Nagashima, Kii Minabe, Kii Sakaihama, Kii Nada, and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1976a), Shiono-misaki (Miyake, 1983); Taiwan; China - Paracel Islands (Chen, 1975, Dai & Yang, 1991); Indonesia - Ambon (de Man, 1888d); Hawaiian Islands - Molokai and Auau Channel (Rathbun, 1906).
