Surface of carapace entirely but irregularly granular, some of the granules on the branchial region are much larger than the other ones; frontal lobes with very oblique anterior borders, most advanced near median notch, this last one clearly v-shaped; exorbital tooth long and triangular, next antero-lateral tooth only lobiform, following one triangular, clear cut, smaller than exorbital. Chelipeds of the two sexes remarkably elongate; merus of male cheliped longer than carapace length. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Sonai, Iriomote-jima, Okinawa, Japan.
Range: Japan - Iriomote-jima (Miyake, 1936).
