Pseudoliomera remota

(Rathbun, 1907)

Dactylus of first pair of ambulatory legs with distal extremity furnished laterally with short corneous setae that flank the claw and have a comb-like aspect. Carapace broad (1.40-1.50 times broader than long); granular regions separated by broad furrows; all carapace regions, including the posterior, well separated; 3M shows indications of three divisions; frontal median sinus feebly indicated and closed; tomentum of short setae fills furrows separating carapace regions; chelipeds with swollen palm, fingers very convex, with brushes of long, rigid setae near the cutting margin; length of cheliped dactylus clearly less than superior margin of palm; carapace and chelipeds without long setae and, with only a tomentum of short setae, appear naked.
