Banareia japonica

Carapace transversally oval, its breadth more than 1.45 times the length. Regions relatively well distinct but separated by naked, not very deep furrows. 3M divided into three lobules. Inner 2M separate, outer 2M subdivided by a longitudinal groove. Entire body densely covered with a coat of short and stiff setae, intermingled with long supple setae. Antero-lateral margins divided into four lobes behind the exorbital angle and separated by slight fissures. External surface of palm furnished with rows of setiferous granules, except for the inferior quarter which is smooth and glabrous; fingers chisel-shaped, the cutting margin smooth except for some proximal denticles.
