Carapace little broader than long, clearly areolate, granules on region surfaces relatively large, rounded and set closely together; antero-lateral borders with 9-10 acute teeth, postero-lateral margins with granules. Chelipeds homochelous, outer face of palm with 5-6 longitudinal rows of granules, hidden by a smooth velvet, upper border with 2 spines; fingers not gaping. Ambulatory legs slender and beset with short hairs; upper border of carpus and merus with a row of spines; dactylus with long and horny apex. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Misaki, Sagami Bay, Japan.
Range: Japan - Sagami Bay (Balss, 1922), Sagami Bay and Tosa Bay (Sakai, 1965b, 1976).
