Surface of the carapace tuberculate and granulate in between the tubercles, two gastric and a pair of cardiac spines, supraocular region without a spine; antero-lateral border with a number of spines getting blunt posteriorly; interantennular spine more than two times as long as rostral spines, these last ones particularly short and slender. Basal antennal article with a single spine. Cheliped of male with particularly swollen chela, with rows of spines along the margins and a longitudinal row on inner face. Second pereiopod with propodus and dactylus bearing the usual long spines, meri of third and fourth pereiopods with spinules along upper border, propodi of third to fifth pereiopods clearly flattened, a line of spinules at the inner margin of the propodi of third pereiopods only. First segment of male abdomen with three conspicuous spines. (Türkay 1995)
