Ebalia bituberculata

Miers, 1879

This species resembles E. rhomboidalis (now Nursia rhomboidalis); but the longitudinal and transverse ridges on the carapace and the depressions on the branchial region are much more strongly marked; in the centre of the carapace, upon the branchial region, are two distinct tubercles; the posterior margin is broader and straight, not bilobate. In the holotype, however, these tubercles are very obscure. (Sakai, 1976: 69)

Type locality: off Owase or Kumano-nada, Japan.
Range: Japan - Kumano-nada (Miers, 1879b, Sakai, 1976a).
