Carapace about 1.2 times as wide as long, its surface closely granulate and with radial rows of flattened granules; frontal rostrum triangular, clearly exceeding rounded lateral lobes; lateral spine of carapace massive, straight and pointed, about 0.2 times carapace width; posterior margin bearing two sharp teeth, lateral ones reaching beyond median. Upper margin of cheliped palm serrate; external face closely granulate with nine tubercles in three oblique rows and three tubercles near base of upper crest; lower margin serrate, teeth smaller proximally. Second to fifth pereiopods with upper border of meri rounded and minutely granulated, otherwise nearly smooth. (Türkay 1995)
