Carapace distinctly longer than wide, not broadened anteriorly; dentition of antero-lateral borders variable, 1-3 teeth may be present. Median rostral tooth smaller than lateral ones. Outer margin of dactylus of fourth leg with a spine. Last two segments of abdomen fused. (Türkay 1995)
Type locality: Port Denison and Port Jackson, Australia.
Range: Japan - off Hayama (Sakai, 1976a); Australia - Port Denison and Port Jackson (Haswell, 1882b, c), East Wallaby Island and Abrolhos Islands, Western Australia (Montgomery, 1931).
