Carapace broader than long, subquadrate. Dorsal surface extremely flat; regions not well indicated; presence of defined postero-lateral facet. Antero-lateral margins with acute or rectangular teeth behind the exorbital angles. Third maxillipeds: exopodite narrower than the ischium; merus not at all expanded at distal outer angle, broader than long and shorter than ischium; palp articulating at the middle of the anterior border of merus. Ambulatory legs without spinules on posterior border of merus. (Guinot 1998)
