Carapace convex. Dorsal surface with coarse granules and some hairs. Lateral margins with one hepatic and 2-3 branchial spines. Posterior margin with one spine. Rostral spines extremely short, vertically deflexed and distally divergent. Postorbital lobe remote from eyestalks. Supraocular eave extremely dilated laterally, forming a thin prolongation, ventrally hollowed and open, marked with two anterior and one posterior processes. Eyestalks very long. Ambulatory legs slender. (Guinot 1998)
