Genus Cryptodromiopsis

Borradaile, 1903

Carapace as wide or wider than long, surface smooth, short dense tomentum on the fringes. Rostrum tridentate, supraorbital tooth usually present, postorbital tooth blunt or obtuse. Female sternal grooves end together between chelipeds. No epipod or podobranch on chelipeds, borders of merus may be dentate, no spine on inner superior margin of carpus. Abdomen of six free segments. Uropod plates well developed. (Türkay 1995; Davie 1996)

Type species: Cryptodromiopsis tridens Borradaile, 1903, by monotypy.
